The Hollow Earth:
Lord Hel'thor: Oldest drow (and living creature) at 1638 years of age, Lord Hel'thor famously fought in the Great War against the human pestilence. He is now ancient and withered, unable to even leave his bed, and one of the very few Firstborn to still bare the mark of the Sun. (i.e. pale skin.) His word still carries much weight, though he has not been able to attend a proper Assembly in a century.
Lady Mar'samah: The Eldest of the expanse of the Hollow Earth township immediately beneath 'Here'. She believes that the key to survival is expansion, and frequently supplies expeditions to the surface, with the tacit agreement that she has first claim to all 'interesting' discoveries upon return. She is a harsh woman, but not immune to charm.
Harkas: A legendary explorer and swordsman, Harkas frequently acts as a guide and bodyguard to expeditions. Very much a mercenary, and very much worth the coin.
Fort Greyhawk:
Commander Titus Vorenus: Born and raised in Arcadium, the old Imperial capital, he was longtime veteran of the Great War and a good man and better soldier. His last words before sending his men into necrostasis was 'I hope to see everyone of you on the other side.' He did not, due to his sarcophagus failing after hundreds of years of lack of maintenance.
Doctor Theobald Kinson: Kinson is a 'country doctor' and proud of it. He didn't attend any fancy universities, and his knowledge of magic is rudimentary at best, but as a war surgeon and general practioner, you could not ask for better.
Captain Elias Clayborn: Elias's father was a war hero, and his mother was a respected necromancer. Therefore, it seemed only logical to station him at a classified military installation. Clayborn himself has never seen actual combat nor really has anything but the most basic grasp of magic.
Master Inoue: The only surviving magus on staff. Nice guy.
Sergeant Matthayus Loghain: Quartermaster. Bit of a dick. Means well.
Undying:
The Collector: Obsessed with preserving the old world, the Collector's identity is now obscured to even the most well-informed inhabitants of the Land. Today, his Aetherians scour the land for remnants of human culture, to be stored in his Mausoleum, a vast city composed of styles from all across the Empire. Reputedly, the Collector possesses a complete set of Aetherian runes, and thus commands the largest Aetherian army in existence. Among his rivals, he is considered quite powerful, but generally not a threat, as noone has ever actually seen him leave his Mausoleum. Popular legend has it the Collector is actually long dead and his minions are simply following his orders by rote for fear of punishment.
The Humming Lord: A working-class enchanter from the countryside, Karl Morgenstern was awarded a scholarship to the prestigious College of Outer Mysteries. His name was oft associated the finest craftsmanship, and his name is chiseled across many landmarks and items still being rediscovered. When the Long Storm began, Morgenstern was invited by his colleagues to take part in the binding rituals that created the Undying. Morgenstern, like many liches, found himself bound with a particularly rapacious spirit, who in particular demanded near-constant music. In life, Morgenstern was nearly tone deaf, and never learned an instrument. He thus found himself in constant torment through the centuries, unable to sate the mad spirit constantly harrassing him. Today, he wanders the land, humming the same half-remembered tunes, half-mad and only barely in command of his powers. Storms and devastation follow this tormented soul everywhere he goes. 'The Humming Lord' is spoken of the same tones as any natural disaster.
Madame Luveria : A hermit on the outskirts of the kingdom, she trades favors for favors. Appears as a much younger woman than she was before becoming a lich, and is one of the more affable Undying. Is almost certainly Luveria Sebastian, a conjurer who wrote one of the more legible textbooks on her craft.
Aetherians:
Fenmir: Leader of the large Nightleaf clan, Fenmir is a second-generation Aetherian and quite old. His Gift isn't well-understood, but is apparently touch-based.
Kuum: A young girl possessing the ability of illusion, she is fiercely dedicated to her family and the Nightleaf clan.
